Teaching Homes In Northern Kentucky

Welcome!!

Teaching Homes In Northern Kentucky is a consortium of families from the northern-most counties of Kentucky who base the education of our children in our homes. In THINK, we try to support one another as we attempt to raise our children in a manner that glorifies God.
From August through November and January through May we hold meetings for home schooling families usually on the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the 7 Hills Church in Florence, Kentucky. (Check below for information and exact dates of upcoming meetings.)

We publish a member contact list and an almost weekly email newsletter called the "THINK eNews".

For those new to homeschooling or new to the area or state, we do conduct a 'New Home Schooler's Meeting' at 6:30pm before every THINK meeting. Someone will be there to discuss homeschooling in general, homeschooling in Kentucky, and how to get started. There is time to ask questions as well. We have packets of information available for those attending. Also, be sure to check-out our New Homeschoolers page for more helpful information.

Membership: Interested in becoming a member in THINK? See the benefits of THINK membership and download an application form here.

Note: The ability to join THINK on-line is now available. You are able to complete your application on-line and select your membership options

eNews Submissions: If you have a submission for the THINK eNews which is emailed out on Fridays, email us at eNews@thinkathome.com.

Annual THINK Science Fair Results

The 2010 THINK Science Fair was a great success.  Special thanks to Chair Jeff Sewell for coordinating the event and assistance from THINK Board member Steve Stockman.  Also, thanks to our judges Mark Nienaber and Paul Schember.  Both judges commented that the entries "made their job difficult."  We are also grateful for the welcome and informative presentation from SD1 and to Answers in Genesis/Creation Museum for providing prizes and gifts for all of our winners this year!

First thru Third prize were presented with our First prize winner continuing on the to Regional Science Fair at NKU.  Congratulations to:
Aiden Hendrick, 3rd Prize; Isaac Meitzen, 2nd Prize; and Cameron Taylor, 1st Prize

We are grateful to all the participants who worked very hard and demonstrated their interest in science.  They are as follows:
Samanth Witaker, Leah Hoseus, Gabrielle and Joshua Sewell, Chris and Bethany Stockman, Dawson Rogers, Catherine and Caroline Wallace, Ben Meitzen, and Dori Schember.
