Volunteer Positions
Listed below is a list of areas where we need volunteers in order to accomplish this goal. Whether you are a family just beginning the homeschooling journey or are veterans, we urge you to offer your talents and enthusiasm by serving your fellow homeschoolers. As the saying goes – many hands make light work! Thank you in advance for your support.

Library Assistants We have many wonderful resources which need to be used by our members. If you are willing to assist the librarian during the meetings then this is for you.
Childcare during monthy meetings Be willing to provide and/or assist with child care at the monthly meetings. This is a paid position
Kids Club Coordinator We are looking for people who are willing to help with and/or run a kid's club during our monthly meetings.
Spelling Bee Judge We need several volunteers who are willing to be judges during the spelling bee at the annual competition.
Science Fair Coordinator We need a coordinator in order for the science far to continue.
Science Fair Judge We need six volunteers who will be at the Science Fair to judge. Even though your child is in the science fair, you can still just a different age group.
Talent Show Judge We need several volunteers who will be at the Talent Show to judge. Even if your child is in the talent show you could judge a different age group.
Field Trip Coordinator We live in an area with great potential for exciting adventures for school field trips. Field trips are very popular but we an energetic person to get them going.
Field Trip Organizer We need several people who are willing to organize just one field trip this year. This allows for many field trips options without burning an individual out.
Monthly Meeting Setup-Breakdown We need help preparing for meetings @6:00pm and cleaning up afterwords. If groups like boy scouts or American Heritage Girls need service hours or projects, we would be happy to have the help. Any family who would like to volunteer to help would be appreciated.
Small Group Discussion Leader At least two meetings this year will consist of small group discussions. We need leaders to facilitate these groups. If you like to share from your own experience and lead groups, this is for you.
Curriculum Reviews Read a book from our resource library or curriculum you have and submit a review for the newsletter and or website.
Newsletter Guest Columnist Looking for talented writers. This can even be a child who has written a wondeful story or paper and wants to share. - Subject to editor's subjective decision. (submissions become the property of THINK).
Field Day Volunteers We need a number of people who are willing to help in some way at the field day in May this year. We need help with registration, running games, giving out ribbons, tallying the points for awards.
New Homeschooler Support We need those who have a desire to help new homeschoolers. We are looking for people who are willing to mail and/or call some of the new homeschoolers that contact us looking for information about homeschooling in general. Also we need people to help us with some of the New Home Schooler Meetings that are held from 6:30-7:30pm before the monthly THINK meetings.
Symphony Coordinator In order to get lower rates to the symphony, we need to buy tickets as a group. We need someone to coordinate this.
THINK Board Support The THINK board of Advisors is always looking for people to help with various projects and administrative tasks that we are working on. If you have a desire to be more involved with the administrative details of THINK but full commitment to being on the board is not for you at this time, we still welcome you help. Don't worry, we will not overload you. We will publish a list of what we need helpwith and you can choose the project(s) that you would like to work on.
